Program: How Your Association Can User Twitter
Presented by: Dena Woerner
Dena Woerner will be discussing how Twitter really is a very effective tool and isn’t as hard to understand as people think it is. Using programs like HootSuite, you can pre-program messages to go out to the different membership lists. This way, you are still communicating with your membership but aren’t chained to the computer. She will also be discussing how you can utilize Twitter to target specific membership groups by using keywords and hash tags and how to use Twitter to as a “listening” devise to watch for trends in your industry. You can also use Twitter to get a bigger distribution on press releases and boost marketing campaigns.

The group would meet weekly for six weeks, discussing two of the ten domains each week, with the 6th session being a review just prior to the Dec. 5 exam. If you are interested in participating in the 6-week study session, please e-mail Mary Dandurand.
